RTS researchers will investigate the relevance of multisensory cues not only to the aesthetic component of gastronomic experiences, but also the managements of clinical conditions.

Fifth Sense – offering support and advice to people who suffer from smell and taste-related disorders, Fifth Sense aims to address the lack of understanding in our society of the role played by smell and taste in our lives. We are working with Fifth Sense founder, Duncan Boak, in particular to find ways of using multisensory perceptions to aid those who are afflicted by anosmia (a loss of smell).
